Viral satire sensation Burning Love is back on Yahoo! for two more seasons, with Michael Ian Black returning as host Bill Tundle.
The sketch show is a parody of reality programs The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
Season one of Burning Love dwelled deep into The Bachelor sitcom lifestyle, poking fun at challenges and corniness aimed at finding true love on reality TV.
Season two of Burning Love will parody the female perspective The Bachelorette – a group of well to do and desperate men fight for the love of former Burning Love contestant Julie Gristlewhite (June Dianne Raphael).
Hell, with the new male cast, Julie may truly find her truest of true love. Second season suitors are played by Adam Scott, Paul Scheer, Joe Lo Truglio, Rob Huebel, Jerry O’Connell, Adam Brody, Michael Cera, Colin Hanks, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, Nick Kroll, Kumail Nanjiani, Nick Thune, and Brandon Johnson.
The third season, titled Burning Down the House takes a cash oriented spin. “The difference between Burning Love and Burning Down the House is, we strip away the love and make it solely about the money,” producer Ken Marino says. “Everybody’s there competing for the huge prize of $900; everybody has great plans if they win.”
Burning Love’s creators are the aforementioned Ken Marino and wife Erica Oyama.
